Most People just don’t get climate change. Few grasp the need and more important, the opportunity to transform our society. So the people who do get it need to be louder, more insistent and more effective at getting the message across.

Design Observer takes a look at graphic design and artistic communities attempting to invigorate and mobilize people towards a more sustainable future. The Green Patriot Posters Project (and their new book) look particularly interesting.

Prescription bottles that are re-used can actually be really beautiful. These few sculptures were shown in the Smithsonian in DC.

Pennies for Pills

There are so many people in the world that simply cannot afford the necessary prescription pills they need for either themselves or for their family. Rhen, Liz and I are creating sculptures made out of old prescription pill bottles.  These sculptures are going to be great visual pieces but they are also serving the purpose for people to donate to people who are less fortunate and can’t afford what they need.  So far I have contacted multiple pharmacies, nursing homes, and friends and gathered hundred of pill bottles and it’s looking to be a great start!

This is brilliant..we need one of these in the US! →

A awesome public installation of re-used flip flops.

Quite a cool article on the value of removing traffic from the neoughbourhood. Couldnt agree more, but in the end its not oppinion but hard data that counts. This wasthe message from the (awesome) NYC Commissioner of the Dept of Transport Janette Sadik-Khan - who has done incredible things transforming NYC into a city that favours people over cars (she spoke at the City Talks with CLover Moore recently).
